Tim is a founding partner of The Wooten Firm, LLC and Gower, Wooten, Darneille. Tim has 25 years of practice experience and has wide experience with federal and state courts throughout the United States in complex civil litigation, federal tax controversy and disputes with the IRS, U.S. District and Appellate Courts, U.S. Tax Court, multi-jurisdictional litigation, and estate planning. Tim is an experienced trial lawyer and has tried cases in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as complex arbitrations. Tim also is an experienced appellate lawyer and has successfully represented clients in federal and state appellate courts throughout the U.S. Tim has represented Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, multinational corporations, insurers and reinsurers. Tim received his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2000, where he graduated cum laude and in the top 10% of his class. Tim is licensed in Georgia and South Carolina and is an instructor at Emory University where he teaches torts and contracts in the university’s graduate paralegal program. He received his B.A. in history from Erskine College, where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Honor Society. Tim has been named by Super Lawyers for the past six years as one of the outstanding tax lawyers in Georgia.
